We have three genealogy books and a CD for sale, all by Elizabeth Jack.
- Discover Gloucestershire Ancestors – Volume 1 was published in March 2012. It is the only guide to the archives that you can find relating specifically to your Gloucestershire ancestors. Twelve areas have been covered in this volume which is aimed at the researcher who is starting their family history.
- Discover Gloucestershire Ancestors – Volume 2 was published in 2013. This is the second guide to the records held at Gloucestershire Archives and other repositories. It concentrates on areas for the more advanced researcher.
- A Rogues’ Gallery – During research at Gloucestershire Archives, Liz came across four albums containing photographs of the prisoners held in Gloucester Gaol at the end of the 19th and start of the 20th centuries. Some of the photographs also contained records of the prisoners. In order to preserve the images and make them available to others, photographs were taken of each mugshot and committed to CD. This book by Elizabeth Jack, published in 2009 by The History Press, contains over 360 selected photographs plus details of some of the prisoners held in Gloucester Gaol in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
- A Rogues’ Gallery CD This CD contains almost 800 photographs of prisoners held in Gloucester Gaol together with information on them and their crimes. It does NOT contain photos or records of ALL prisoners held in the gaol during that period. The corresponding book, A Rogue’s Gallery, does not contain all of the photographs saved on the CD, only selected images.
